What is XERF®?
XERF® is a cutting-edge, non-invasive skin-tightening treatment that uses advanced monopolar radio-frequency (RF) technology to firm and lift the skin. Developed by Lutronic in partnership with Cynosure, it is described as the first multi frequency monopolar RF system available. Unlike many older RF treatments that deliver energy at one depth, XERF uses two frequencies (6.78 MHz + 2 MHz) and three depth settings (shallow, middle, deep) to more precisely target the layers of skin and tissue responsible for sagging and laxity.
How XERF ® Works
XERF ® uses two RF frequencies (6.78 MHz and 2 MHz) to precisely target multiple layers of the skin — from the surface to deeper connective tissues.
The treatment gently heats these layers, triggering your body’s natural collagen-remodeling process for long-lasting tightening and lift.
A built-in cooling system keeps the skin surface comfortable, allowing for safe, effective treatments without numbing or downtime.

After Treatment:
Mild redness or warmth may appear briefly, but most patients return to normal activity immediately.
Initial sense of skin tightness may be noticed right away, but full results manifest over weeks as collagen remodeling occurs (commonly 4-6 weeks and up to 3-6 months post-treatment). Results will continue to improve over the next 4–12 weeks as new collagen develops.
Minimal downtime: most patients resume normal activity immediately. Some redness/swelling may appear but typically resolves quickly.
